just saw the pre-race interview with Pogacar. He just arrived in Italy yesterday due to leaving UAE late, so no recon for him. Says he should be fine, though, as he knows the course anyway.

Brilliant performance by Kopecky. It was pretty much over for Van Vleuten when she couldn't drop her on the hill, but ofc that last corner didn't help her much.

Being able to watch all the major action for once was purely fantastic, so I hope that will continue in the coming years (hopefully it will be the same for the men's race, too, but unless the men want to start in the middle of the night, that might not be guaranteed :p)

Also another huge performance by Van Anrooij, and Persico being able to sneek into the top 10 is a great result for her and Valcar.

how much do we think that was Kopecky just maintaining a natural arc line whilst on slippery paving slabs, or in motor racing terms a block pass ? :)

and what finish line were the commissaires using to judge van Vleuten was still grouped with Kopecky there ?

also clearly the champagne bottles must be some dont touch setup by race organisers as they were unwiring them again whilst wondering why they couldnt get the cork out.

Brilliant win for Kopecky!

She already looked very strong on Le Tolfe. In the final km she did what she had to do: wait for the second half of the climb, then go full to reach the final bend in pole position.

Cordon-Ragot picking Venturini must be one of the hottest takes ever seen, but I like her style.
