The battle for the jersey over the first 6 stages is going to be extremely chaotic, there are lots of teams like this with multiple strong sprinters/flatland specialists. Most of them will probably be close enough up to stage 7 which could make last year's crashfest look mild.

I remember when following the Tour meant looking for the size 6 print in the results section of the newspaper the following morning to see the previous days' top three plus what position the British riders had finished.
Ah yes the good old days of big Mig crushing the field with us plucky Brits having the occasional pack fodder rider to cheer for in the 30 minutes highlight show on Channel 4 at 6pm every night.

This TdF will be terrible because of covid.
Current form of Covid is impossible to contain and highly contageous, but a lot less dangerous. Vlasov will win this race since Rogla, Poga and Vinge will all dissapear because of Covid this way.

I wanted to add a smiley, but it's actually not that unlikely :)

Did you just assume that Covid can win against Slovenians ?
They may even be stronger because of it if they get Therapeutic Use Exemptions even though they are asymptomatics.
Since you can now compete whilr being Covid positive, there won't be a lot of DNS during the Tour.

If Vlasov somehow wins this I bet the covid tests will be lifted in all races.

Trentin is feeling just well and is not allowed to start. If riders test positive they have to leave the race...

Weird that the top 5 riders in the recent posts list, one is a total no hoper and 4 aren't even racing. You would think the actual participants would be most likely to be discussed.

EFs team finally published. Weirdly picking Doull instead of Chaves after his recent topform and him stating he wanted to go.

Uran
Guerreiro
Powless
Bissegger
Cort
Bettiol
Rutsch
Doull
Surprised no Chaves, but Doull was a given as of yesterday - he was the guy modelling the new kit.

No they don't.

There is a new set of guidelines on the streets. It's the team's decision that Trentin is replaced.

I think that is during the race. But before the race it's mandatory to provide a negative test:
"two days before the start of the race, presentation of at least one negative antigen test for all members of the teams (riders and staff)"

Okay, fair enough.

She was born in '88.
1888, presumably.

As long as there's Chris O'Jensen Ireland has a representative.

Excuse me, I think we've had this conversation before. Juul-Jensen does not, in any way, represent Ireland. His name is 'Jensen'! How much more Danish can you get? What is it with this trying to undanify the Danes thing?
(I'll make an exception with Fuglsang. He's basically undanifying himself.)

So Larsen Alan Jensen is the most Danish swimmer (and probably the best male one) there's ever been?
