Lets hope their aren't any GC riders who need to abandon due to COVID. I hope this whole covid positive deal will be abandoned in the future (unless something major changes in the virus).

I fear that there will be sadly.

In most European you no longer need yo use a mask even in public transports however riders that spend many months preparing for a race need to abandon just with mild covid symptoms, while the same symptoms wouldn't force them to abandon with any other virus.
