If they are serious about making a WT classics in the Vejle area.. using the same route as in stage racing with Kiddesvej as the final hill would be the most uncreative thing ever.

Instead, they should stack up the late early, entire mid and early late part of the race with as many hills as possible and add a flat finish.

Making a route of 3000 metres of vertical gain is possible if the start takes place in Billund, Jelling, Juelsminde, Horsens, Kolding or Vejle itself.
Remember 10 years ago playing around an entire winter holiday week with just for the fun seaching possibilities planning routes at RWG, there's so many opportunities for even +3500m WC RR Elite Men +260k route.

I must say in general I'm very much in favor of the old WC format of a closed consecusive circuit route. Maybe it's just down to a classical nostalgic dimension to me.
But the new "A to B" stuff is deemed nececcity in Vejle region, since my heart cannot bear all the missed opportunities by leaving them out in favor of a closed circiut. I don't want to miss anyone of them (though Dornsvej, Mølgårdsvej and other city district private roads may require hard local negotiations :p).
But again, I don't want a new 1980 Sallanches or a new 1995 Duitima.
In fact I'd rather like a new Leuven or a new Harrogate.

Oh, I was purely talking about a WC course.

And I think Evenepoel 2021 is probably the most memorable Vejle-stage for me IMO.

Opinions differ about that stage. :) Some think it was great. I thought it was awful. And the organizers seem to agree with me as they prolonged the circuit after that.

We are looking forward to your yearly recap of the race. The preview was pretty much spot-on.

"Og der er vi så henne ved rytterkvaliteten. Her er 2023-udgaven desværre miserabel. Mads Pedersen og Matias Skjelmose er vel de eneste deciderede stjerneryttere, der er med i kampen om det samlede klassement."

You predicted the result. I'd make you chairman of the race for oversight.

Thanks, lol. I'm also glad that the five riders I mentioned before they came to Vejle, were Mads Pedersen, Skjelmose, Wærenskjold, Cort and Jakobsen, noting that Jakobsen would probably get in trouble at Kiddesvej. As far as I could tell, it was the first ride up Kiddesvej that killed Jakobsen. I expected Wærenskjold to be able to hang on to the two Lidl-Trek riders for long which he did. :)

Best achievement ever by Cort on the queen stage in Vejle. Hopefully he'll get back to his old self before the season is over.

There are more spectators at this sprinter stage than there will be at the entire world championship event in Abu Dhabi in 2028 and 2029.

Skjelmose might have said that him being in the lead doesn't really change anything; Pedersen is still the team-leader. However, tomorrow it won't matter.
