It looks like they removed the horrible measurements of the climbs this year.

I remember Chr. Wintersvej, the steepest paved road in Denmark, being reduced to a false flat 1,8% climb on television last year.

Lidl-Trek and others are annoyed because the TV motorbikes go up on the side of the riders and stay there when there is a puncture thereby preventing the team cars from coming up from behind. It's happened several times.

You would think the Danes wouldn't help the norwegian guy like that, but then you realize it's Dutch guys on the motobike.

Prime example of a race that got decided by a motobike. Obviously Waerenskjold is good, but he got a 10 second gap on the peloton in the wheel of a moto. Beyond stupid.

Trek did the perfect uphill sprint lauching on the last Skovbakkevej. Skujiņš -> Pedersen -> Skjelmose. But Skjelmose wasn't quick to react to the lauching. Looked like he rode for a tired Mads instead.

They were not going to outsprint Jakobsen anyways.

What a lackluster field, this race should not be a category above Limousin. A Mickey Mouse race through and through.

I actually think that what the motorbikes did in the beginning of the race was more horrific.

Limousin is maybe France's 9th most important stage race and is rightly cat. 1. PostNord Danmark Rundt should be cat. 1 as well.

Is there a cat. Pro stage race with a worse field than this?

Qinghai?

But while this year PNDKR might not have the greatest field - probably in part due to its closeness to the Vuelta - that's not always the case.

Who would you say the three best non-Danish riders are here in Denmark's most important race? The depth of the field here is a total joke.
It's a poor field this year, yes, but I don't know why you have to be on such a rampage against everything Danish these days. If you're disappointed with the field, fair enough, but there's no reason to act as if the race suddenly has no right to exist at all.

I would guess that the change of the calendar placement of the World Championships has taken a toll here. Plus there's three other races going on concurrently, and the Hamburg race is just the day after the race.
