Well De Plus reduced the gap from 5:30min to 3:50min in 3 kilometers or so but I don't think it will be enough. It should mean that Thomas is strong though.

Rooting for Hepburn to win this stage solely because it would be the most fitting outcome for possibly the worst-raced queen stage in history.

Came here to say this, but seems like I was beaten to it!

I don't like speaking in capital letters, but this Giro as a whole has been rather awful. Very careful riding, and not helped by the route design. But we often see that when second-tier riders are fighting for the win while being quite equally matched.
