Once I saw the profile of the French NC’s I thought an exciting race could occur, but not expect the whole race blowing up with 95k’s. Proper race this one.

Bruh how long have they been previewing the Belgian mens race?
Maybe Karl and José haven't finished their five course lunch yet?

Edit: apparently the air-conditioning in the commentary cabin was broken and had to be fixed.

Edit2: the pre-race analysis is dragged out more, even though the AC has been fixed.

Townsend had the gap to Healy back to 13 seconds at one point but as with Mullen earlier, it’s one thing to bury yourself getting close, it’s another thing to sustain his pace. Healy has broken him now, gap 1 min 20 and going out.

Five of the strongest riders in the field chasing a solo Healy for 90km made for a pretty good race. It took him up until just before the last lap to finally break their resistance.

2 minute gap to Townsend in second now

Weird situation in Belgium. Van Aert is up the road with his whole team present sans Benoot, but neither Alpecin or QuickStep is too bothered, instead letting the work be done by Sport Vlaanderen and Tarteletto.
which explains why they dragging out everything. They hope they can jump in at some point and say there will be contention. (so dragging dragging ...)
