UAE god their stage, bravo, but in the end they basically threw 6 seconds. I know, hindsight, but still, Pogacar was by far the strongest in that finale.

Maybe it will give Yates some confidence, but I very much doubt he's an actual threat, but maybe they can use their numbers in some ways.

Congrats to Adam Yates on a victory and yellow jersey. Takeaways from today:
1) As I expected Pog & Vinge were the best on Pike but Vinge didn't want to cooperate.
2) Mas and Carapaz are out of the GC.
3) Gianetti is happy as he bought the better brother.
4) UAE hierarchy was detemined by this stage so I've no idea why Pog was happy at the finish.

Chapeau the Yates! but what were Bjerg and Grossschartner up to? Otherwise Viktor Lafay showed good form and Pinot 4th?!
Shame for Mas and Carapaz - Jorgenson to be stage hunting now, I guess.
Onto stage 2 which looks like it could be deja vu all over again.

Maybe the co leader thing wasnt so far fetched..backup if Pog has a mishap ?

Also I wouldnt underestimate the twins

Simon had to close that gap on the climb so ran out of juice but equally as good imo..remember he was caught behind and couldnt follow Pog and co

Making Jumbo taste their own medicine?

(Not a clinic post, referring to last year and the Rog-Vinge combo obviously)
