. Despite that, I can’t find a profile of this side – its overall stats of 7.1k at 8.8% are unimpressive, but the climb is rather irregular.
Or, with a different interpretation of breakaway, Tour de France 2023Tour de France 1990!
That should have read 4.8%, oops.It takes a lot to impress @Devil's Elbow
If Pogacar wants to win this stage he will win it. It's just a case of whether he wants to ride into pink so early in the race. But history tells us that Pog wants to win everything so I can't see any other result here.
Maybe, but how many stages would they have to control until the TT? Stage 6 maybe? Possibly stage 2 too. As the sprint teams would take control of 3,4,5.If UAE have any sense (and that's a debatable point) they'll let a few guys get a few seconds on everyone else and worry about the leader's jersey later in the race. The thought of a whole bunch of GC guys going nuts down the descent to the finish seems risky to say the least. Just think of Mas and Carapaz at the Tour last year.
Pogi will be alone there, no risks. If UAE have any sense (and that's a debatable point) they'll let a few guys get a few seconds on everyone else and worry about the leader's jersey later in the race. as someone mentioned in the pre-race interviews (forgot who), having car number #1 will also be of advantage for the sterrato stage. So he expected UAE to try to keep the jersey until then at least.Maybe, but how many stages would they have to control until the TT? Stage 6 maybe? Possibly stage 2 too. As the sprint teams would take control of 3,4,5.
Of course. Is Liege six weeks long?Did you not watch Liège?

I see what you mean, yeah, that wasn’t that long ago.You were talking about him being undercooked. Clearly, he is at an extreme level.
Uphill yes, on the flat no, and they're all uselessThe big question to be answered is if Ben O'Connor is more swift than Ben or Connor Swift.
That will purely depend on whether he wants to do that right now, or later in the race.Pog solo by a minute.
He let Adam have one in the Tour last year.If Pogacar wants to win this stage he will win it. It's just a case of whether he wants to ride into pink so early in the race. But history tells us that Pog wants to win everything so I can't see any other result here.
Rest, and then preparation for TDFWhy no Jorgenson for Visma? Does he have more important stuff to attend to?
