There is some solace in this result: Van der Poel will show the rainbow about as much on gravel as he did in the road.
They’re 50km behind. Hope they all get out the way in time. Must be a weird feeling dropping everyone and still have riders in front of you.How impressive it must be to be a pro and watching mvp flying by you lapping
When the best you can do to help is not disturbingBit of a lazy job there by that Dutch rider that got passed by Van der Poel. Pull for your team leader maat.
Or, way to little to show these guys how much a race like Unbound would destroy them. Just ask Mohoric.Just enough gravel to enjoy the wannabe specialists who fancy themselves in Unbound getting murdered
Racing an entire race at Colorado elevation, with actualy gravel, would be a humbling experience for these guys. Bike paths do not a gravel race make.I do have to say, this is night and day different from, say "Crusher in the Tushar" in the US, although, as you might expect, that race is a climb fest.
Another 3 year extension with Canyon for this celebration.Petition to ban that celebration. Sir this is cycling, not weightlifting
We can only what his start money will look like for upcoming events!! And what this will do for Canyon. CEO said his world championship had them selling thousands of bikes they didn't the year before!!There is some solace in this result: Van der Poel will show the rainbow about as much on gravel as he did in the road.
Have fun with all that. So far, all of the WT guys who showed up, left humbled. And a ride like SBT, Crushar, and particularly Leadville, would humble them as well. You have fun watching the bike path world championship, and pretend it's gravel.Mohoric got *** by mechanicals.
Unbound takes preperation to get the bike setup right. For pure watts it's absolutely nothing for elite WT riders.
Mohoric will tell you how Unbound destroyed his bikeOr, way to little to show these guys how much a race like Unbound would destroy them. Just ask Mohoric.
...yeah, proper equipment choices is part of racing. Is this a new concept?Mohoric will tell you how Unbound destroyed his bike
It was a bike path race last year too...and Kegan got 5th against WT pros. You should start a BIke Path section for this forum. It's all you seem to know about gravel racing. No need. I got to watch Swenson get dusted by retired Valverde last year. That's all ya need to know.
Seriously part time riders like Thijs Zonneveld being in the lead group before a mechanical in Unbound tells you everything.
Retired Ten Dan finished 4th in Unbound 2023, just 6s behind the winner. Does that make Ten Dam a better rider than Mohoric?...yeah, proper equipment choices is part of racing. Is this a new concept?
You do know ten Dam specifically races and prepares for US gravel races, right? He raced that well, because he actually prepared, unlike Mohoric who showed up thinking he could mail it in and beat up on the locals. Funny, he didn't cross the finish line...must have been humbling.Retired Ten Dan finished 4th in Unbound 2023, just 6s behind the winner. Does that make Ten Dam a better rider than Mohoric?
Would be great to see him at Unbound and Crusher in the Tushar. So now it's time for MVDP to go on a USA gravel tour and just dominate every race, Pogacar style. To show that he's the king of gravel.
