Thanks for the thread.
Vingegaard will win stage 3, 5, and 6. The rest he will leave to others, he is generous after all.

*** route and an already obvious winner.
Only interesting thing will be if the skeletor decides to annilihate everyone on San Giacomo already.
On Monte Petrano he could probably win while calling his wife already midway through the climb.

I swear RCS design worse routes every year. Throw in Vingegaard being here with no real opposition and it's destined to be an atrocious edition.

Shockingly poor route. No true hilly madness stage and the big mtf is after the only other tougher stage meaning they may all wait for the MTF.

Last stage would be great fun as an 81km stage but the San Benedetto del Tronto laps kill any chance of interesting racing.

Yeah this is the sort of race where San Giacomo being slightly too easy makes a huge difference and things really only go down there if Vingegaard really wants to humiliate everyone.

Not even an attempt at a Muri stage or even a stage like in Tortoreto last year is really bad IMO. I'm happy they got rid of the TTT but it being replaced by another sprint is really disappointing to me.
The most annoying thing is that San Benedetto is surrounded by prime murito terrain, it makes no sense that they insist on having that stage be a sprint year after year.

To be honest Paris Nice has always been the superior race, with the exception of a few recent additions of Tirreno which were great. And to be fair this route is still better than those really *** years where the TTT was all that decided the race, like 2018

They could make TA so much better, the winter is less severe and the mountains more hospitable. That they don't only indicates obsequiessness to tradition.

Why oh why would someone make a route like that? Why are some race organizers seemingly not even interested in creating a good product?

Hmm, I see greater risk of rain for the early starters.

Yes higher chances for rain for the early starters but the wind getting stronger and stronger doing the day.

Visma and UAE believe it's best to start early - Ineos, late.

Race has got to be in the bag for Froome, right? Coming from altitude in Rwanda having gotten the hard miles in, against Vingegaard who couldn‘t really train because he was on the phone with his wife too much. I hope Chris knows that he has to peak for the Tour and not scare the ASO with impossibly high (placement) numbers in advance so he and G Thomas can guide Cav to number 35.
