Embarassing for the Italian teams that a club (not even a ct team) with a budget of 90k that just covers it's rider's expenses (travelling and so no) and doesn't pays a salary dominates the NC.
That's the further proof of the decadence of the italian cycling...

If you consider them the same team. Even PCS doesnt (which ofc is correct) but they do with Q365 and MTN for example.

To me the main difference is that they unfortunately don't ride on Orbea bikes anymore, but it is a team run by the same foundation with the same primary sponsor as in the old days.

New people are in charge, for better or worse, and time will tell how much longer it will actually exist for now that they will no longer be able to take part in the Vuelta.

Marton Dina takes the win in Hungary. The first elite NC win for Euskaltel since Ioannis Tamouridis in 2013.

A corollary to this is that Attila Valter thus didn't defend his title. He wasn't even in the top 10 and only 17 riders finished the race. What an atrocious performance in an altogether terrible season for him. He seems to have just fallen off a cliff with his level.

Close call in Pedersen's ITT win - shortly before the finish

To be clear he was forced off the racing line by a police moto going too slow through a corner - the spectators were where they were supposed to be:

I missed this, but the parcours is clear and the police motor being too slow doesn't give you the right to just run through a crowd.

How this is not a DQ is *** shocking to me.

But back in the day around 2010 both teams existed! The nowadays Euskaltel-Euskadi team was a feeder team for the WT-team (or then it was ProTour I think). Then the WT team collapsed (after the first year with all those foreigners) and a few years later the once feeder team become a conti team and later proconti. The end is near indeed because they made the error of letting foreigners in once again.

But: the Hongarian champ jersey is nice. The colors of Hungary are red, white, green. The colors of Euskadi are..... :). Looking forward for the jersey!
