Wellens who couldn't handle the heat prior to joining UAE is now better than Evenepoel in a 40 km time trial in 32 degrees Celsius after a gruelling 190 km race? UAE will make a complete joke of the TdF.

This isn't exactly true. He was already not struggling with it anymore as much before UAE. He started to do better in the heat in 2018 or 2019 already.

Another bad Cort performance in a one day race. I thought he had improved in this discipline after his top 10's in this spring. But today was a set back. Perhaps it's a sign that he's still in relatively bad shape as he was after the classics. It could become a long Tour for him.
Cort is never good in races that require good positioning - it's his greatest handicap.

The Tour is different, at the Tour he can get in breaks and that is where he is great.

Norway with 3 laps to go. 6 Uno-X in front THJ, AHJ, Tiller, Hoelgaard, Leknessund and Dversnes. Followed 1 minute down by 3 more Uno-X, Kulset, Fredheim and Löland. Next group at 2:30 minutes.

Looking like the biggest Uno-X clean sweep yet in the Norwegian Nationals. 4 of the front 6 going to TdF so I wonder if they'll just give it to someone who will ride there.
Tiller, Dversnes and Hoelgaard has been the last winners, so make sense to have a new winner. THJ the most profilic.

True, but he had a super strong team with him today. Not saying he should have made it to the podium, but being out of contention long before the final circuit - that's worrying, especially because of his bad results in the last couple of months.

Just as it's not true that he beat Remco 40km. The race situation weighed heavily on Remco, who first crashed, then pulled the group through the 60km race, Wellens nothing because Vermeersh was pulling, and finally Philipsen killed Remco's chances.

I have a sun allergy, and you have to try various treatments until you find the one that best suits you. But it's better to look at the results of a national race to see how those types of allergies work. LOL

Brother what are you talking about, I have had contact with Tim about it personally. It has gotten better at UAE, they have some "tricks" (and Im sure most teams nowadays do the exact same), but it was already not that big of a problem anymore just before Covid, definitely in one day races.

Also he doesn't technically have a sun allergy.

Remco looks angry.
He'll be thinking nice things about Philipsen. OMG.

Wellens didn't beat Remco in a 40km time trial. Did you see the race to say that?

Philipsen conditioned Remco too much.
Aside from the fact that Remco spent the previous kilometers pulling the group. And he crashed before.
By the way, Wellens had a little help from the moto :smirk:

Don't just have to look at the result or final kilometers to interpret a race.
Did Remco chrash today you mean?
