I meant the 1974 WC route.I've looked at old profiles but they all look like they take the same main climb though? I'm a bit confused when they changed the route.

Tarling has not been around a long time.Tarling and Ganna have not beat Remco in an ITT in a long time
Yeah, I hadn't thought of it before today. It's quite bizarre. It feels so dumb to have a circuit race on the WC route 2 weeks before the event.
I would hope they try out something new for the GPIt feels so dumb to have a circuit race on the WC route 2 weeks before the event.
Might be weirder than the Dauphiné putting in a clone of the Tour TT in 2011, or the 2008 Giro having a stage that previewed both the Mendrisio and Varese World Championships courses. It feels so dumb to have a circuit race on the WC route 2 weeks before the event.
I don’t agree with that. It’ll have less amount of total altitude that needs to be climbed and the only climb on the circuit isn’t much harder than Witikon. Zurich had more hills on the circuit too.The circuit is harder than the Zürich one.
The circuit in Zurich is twice as long, so you they did Witikon way fewer times.I don’t agree with that. It’ll have less amount of total altitude that needs to be climbed and the only climb on the circuit isn’t much harder than Witikon. Zurich had more hills on the circuit too.
Sure but Zurich was 4200 meters of altitude. GP Montreal with 17 rounds on the circuit is 3900. So what will this be with 12 rounds? Just shy of 3.000 meters? The circuit in Zurich is twice as long, so you they did Witikon way fewer times.
a test event before the WC is a regular thing to do.It feels so dumb to have a circuit race on the WC route 2 weeks before the event.
I went and checked the last time WvA had a meaningful W.Van Aert should prep seriously for this one.
Belgium a two-headed monster again. Helpful against the likes of Pog and VdP.

He's not relevant anymore. Sucks because he's a really cool guy but he's simply not competing with Evenepoel/Pog/MVDP
I was going to say he's never raced the Canadian classics but then I checked PCS and it turned out he actually has, in 2019. It's tempting to say that this sort of race doesn't suit him, but then you look at the punchy stages we had in the Dauphine and the Tour and he was always there with Pogacar, van der Poel and Evenepoel. That first stage of the Dauphine is still one of my favourite things to happen this year.Hopefully Vingegaard can dain to show for this one.
Is stage 21 of the Tour not a meaningful win? I know it's different because it comes at the end of three weeks of hard racing, but the fact that Wout could drop Pogacar going up Montmartre shows that he does still have it in him. Not as much as he used to, I don't think, but I still wouldn't rule him out.I went and checked the last time WvA had a meaningful W.

You don't think a 21 year old has more scope to improve than someone in their mid 20s?The problem is, so will Remco.
Dead flat ITTs Remco is unbeatable due to his aero advantage
One year before the start, that‘s some intense racing.43 riders still left in the race.
Classic mistake of multiple tabs. One year before the start, that‘s some intense racing.
Mont St. Hillaire. Could be a jumping off point for a break. Especially if the that section of racing south of Montreal happens while it's windy since it's quite exposed. https://www.strava.com/segments/4302245what is the hill just before they enter the circuit?
The women will likely come to Canada a week and half early early to pick up GP Gatineau in the same trip.Seems logical.
I don't know about the timing though, if top riders wanna stay in Canada for 2 weeks?
