What about Galimzyanov and Vaitkus?

I think Galimzyanov could be this year surprise.

Ya, I think Galimzyanov could have a solid tour with several top 10s in sprints. Perhaps he could also get a podium on some stage though winning will be a bit harder.

Galimzyanov is a bit overrated imo. He has been outsprinted by quite a few younger sprinters already. Plus Cipo can still outsprint him from time to time :p

He'll be a decent sprinter, but never the best or second best.

Well, he's not the speediest of the new crop of sprinters out there but he seems to be fairly consistent and good at getting in the right spots which is why I think he can probably stack up a number of top 10s. I would place him at around the same level as Hutarovich and Bozic etc.

How about Gallopin some finishes do suit him, although he might have competition within his own team with Dumoulin.

Outside the giro Cavendish had done little also. Greipel didn't ride the giro, so it isn't fair to belittle him yet.

I hope he wins a stage or two at the tour.

Didn't mean to belittle him, but this year he hasn't won anything against anybody that stands out. That breakaway win at De Panne was impressive though. If he gets a stage at the Tour, I think it'll come in similar fashion. I really doubt he'll beat the likes of Cav, Petacchi, and Farrar in an all out field sprint. Not unless Lotto can organize a train to disrupt HTC and Garmin Cervelo.

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing. Who will Cofidis ride for in the sprints?

Ventoso can win real sprints though. :D

But seriously, Ventoso is arguably slightly faster of the 2 but Rojas can get over the climbs a lot better (on recent form). Ventoso should try on flatter finishes and stages 5-6. Rojas on more difficult ones.

Is it me or is CN running a quiet smear campaign against Romain Feillu? It seems like every day they trawl through French TV and newspaper interviews, find a quote where he complains about something, and then write a whole story around it. Every day it's "Feillu Angry at Cavendish" or "Feillu Complains That He Was Really the Fastest" -- and the goal seems to be to portray him as a whiner. I mean, there are any number of minor side-stories they could be reporting on, so why this day after day?
