Okay Lotte!

Gasparrini not picking her wheel and starting 4 bike lengths behind, some tactics will always surprise me.

Soon as I saw the gap at flame rouge I knew kopefky was winning. Some of these sd worx riders have it so easy. Didn't have to pull once.

Rüegg goes one better than last time. She will win next year. I am watching Swiss television. Mischi Andres and her co-commentator were just about to celebrate towards the end.

Wiebes was controlling the peloton after the top. Not many teammates left for the sprinters probably.

Ruegg ending close to Lotte, while taking some turns in the last 2km’s. Also not the smartest thing to do.

Wollaston came close to beating Wiebes, but starting the sprint with a healthy advantage wasn't enough. Still not bad that she managed to make it into G2 today, although even Kool did that.

What's weird about it? The riders in the back got rofldropped for a reason
It's not like the group upfront were working together perfectly. That descent is long enough for a lot of riders in the peloton to recuperate a bit. I'm not saying they should have caught em, but they certainly should have brought down the gap a bit.

So sad for Kasia. She tried so hard on the Cipressa and then disaster struck in the descent.
Then Kim Le Court staying with her, seemingly conducting concussion protocol?
That's sportsmanship right there.

Any news on the Laboral Kutxa rider who flew over the rails?

Rüegg didn't have a fast teammate behind. I think she did the right thing, and if she had been allowed to wear the aero helmet maybe she would have won.

Was the pace too hard for someone to attack? That’s my first thought about this situation. Everyone knew Lotte would win this sprint.

Puck’s chance was hopeless. Why not try a sneak attack from behind. UAE better rode with both riders so everyone would cooperate and play the 1-2 game the last km’s. But Gasparrini would be thrilled with the podium here, so maybe she hoped to even win the sprint.

I wrongly assumed Kool was far behind, but since she wasn't, Puck would have had an alibi to not work. However that wouldn't really have worked when she already played a part in establishing the group.

I guess after they missed out on the victory and podium last year, UAE are probably happy to come home with something this time, especially when their leader wasn't able to race. Still they should have made sure Gasparrini wasn't in the last wheel when Włodarczyk was done pulling.

It’s always talk after the race and we have a better view during the race. But if you ride for the sprint and have enough time, just pull out 200m early so Kopecky has to lead and maybe you could do something else. Indeed now Eleonora couldn’t even get more to the front.

Probably the legs did the thinking in the final. Just try and sprint. But it was hopeless against Lotte when she got a free leadout.
