Only DQS had two riders in the group behind, so I guess the chase was never fully on. First pro win for Honoré and the first stage race for Chris Harper. Great ride by both of them.

Damnit

Scandinavians were supposed to be the riders that plateau at a young age and never become more than decent pro's. Now they are winning everything left right and centre, especially the Danes

So jumbo was isolated early once again and ex mitchelton chased the break down for them, only to let vingegaard attack and ride away on the flat after the final climb. This is even beyond Movistar stupid.

If they had let the break go, they might had ended up with nothing. Now Schultz at least finished third.

So a team who has a rider 2nd on GC is not allowed to protect their 2nd on GC or heaven forbid win the stage race.

No. It's about the weird dynamics that every other team let the GC leader attack on the flat and in case of Mitchelton that their guy didn't follow.
Was it on the flat? I thought he got a gap on the descent.

And Vingegaard won the points jersey too, while Alejandro Osorio overtook Marton Dina in the mountains classification.
