Im your father luke.

I also know that you share your birthday with Bart Simpson and your birth year with your national teams greatest success.

Or alternatively (and far less probable) you mentioned it previously  ;)

It was a long time ago, yes, but i do have a photographic(ish) memory so that explains that.

Hmmmm.... Your logic is sound. I just have no recollection of saying it is all.

At least I'm 50-50 so far on my declaration that cycling fans have memories like elephants. :p

Is it International 'Everyone Stalk Moondance' month up in here or what?

With a name like Moondance your asking to be stalked.;)

He also studies law, his father told him about the greats of dutch cycling, and i think he knows Ruben somehow as they claim to have made a monetary bet in 2009.

Hopefully well leave it at that as i have exhausted the breadth of my Moondance knowledge.

I was actually born in 't Gooi...

My dad is from Winschoten and my mother is from Onstwedde. I play up the Gronings connection to help establish some street cred.

No unfortunately, while a nice bloke and knowledgeable about cycling and especially British cycling, Dim's knowledge of U23+junior racing is negligible. Therefore, he will keep getting suprised and asking who the hell "insert U23 rider here* is if that guy breaks through the Pro ranks with a win.

I think like most people, I know about the youngsters coming through the ranks of my home country, but dont know much about the youngsters in other countries bar the obvious ones like Phinney, Bobridge etc.

Unless you specifically follow u23 racing, I guess its the same for most people.

As for why i dont follow it as much as I would like. There simply arent enough hours in the day.

What's that supposed to mean? Times are tough when a man cannot publicly declare his love of Van Morrison without being derided.... :(

It was a non sequitor of which the sole purpose was to bring me to the next section where i continue reminding you of pieces of information about yourself you have divulged.

But wow. You like Van Morrison, Dostoyevsky and Tchaikovskys 1812 overture ( i prefer el nutcracker but still) .

In London its rare for someone of our generation to hold a love for something other than the present top 40 number 1 or the latest "cool" rap single.

But actual culture. Im starting to wish i did know you :)

Well, you could also know him from following the continental circuit a bit. I first got to know of him from FBD Insurance Ras for example where he won two stages last year.

Yes was an uphill sprint! take a look to this pic

Seems that Degenkolb, Farrar and Matthews had quite a few meters on the others. Unless we don't see everyone in this pic.

Yeah, there was a 1 second time difference between the front three and the others. Looks like a very Matthewsian sprint, BTW.

Contador was 13th... maybe trying to get some legs?

sooooo... tomorrow... Alto de Malhão huh?
I'm pretty sure that Contador is going to attack, maybe is not going to win but He needs to stretch his legs and start to build up seriously thinking in Il Giro...

Kreuziger said in his twitter that He is not in form yet but will try to be with the learders... mmmmm Tiago will make a move, last year He couldnt follow AC and De La Fuente... I'm expecting for Taraamae to do something...!
