is it really that hard so far? Looks like there are still 100+ guys left in the peloton, just those with no legs at all were dropped (accidentally including lots of big names)

Maybe a bit hot for some of them.
And not a proper target for the others.

The risk with the tougher course is that the favourites will probably wait until the final 10 km. On the other hand outsiders might attack between the two climbs.

I wonder how well Madouas will go. A good result here would give the team a much needed boost after sad ending to TdF.

Also curious about Evenepoel. Alaphillipe already out and there seems a bit of uncertainty over Mas at the moment. Must have been ill in early stages of TdF?

DNP-Old said Mas had been sick, but a day or two later, Lefevre said on TV that he had not been sick.

Mas seems good today so far.
