Goncalves of La Pomme Marseille put in a MASSIVE attack inside the last two kilometers, then took the long way around a huge roundabout, and was suddenly back in the middle of the pack :D

Geoffroy Soupe with a monster leadout for Demare.

:( poor gonçalves

will La Pomme ride the volta this year?

Just watched the replay. FDJ controlled the final 8k with just 2 guys, lol  that's pretty embarrassing for the other teams.

FDJ's train controlled the stage from start to finsh.

This will be tougher to suffocate (stage 4):

Dernier tour. ;)

I was going to write that it's an embarrassingly big main group still there, but it actually didn't seem that big when they started the last lap.

Surprisingly strong ride by Demare, but then again, the field isn't exactly the best.

Demare definitely has a decent punch and a good engine, it's not that surprising. But as you say, it also has to do with the weaker competition here.

Kadri seems to be the only rider with some balls in this race.

Nice uphill sprint by Kreder in the end.

So another start to finish domination by FDJ on day five?

Demare looks like he'll be really strong for Classics in the years to come. However I'm not sure that climbing style will work on the cobbles, he does throw it from side to side a fair bit. Will be very interested if he shows up at Paris-Tours in this kind of form.

Yannick Martinez won by starting his sprint from far , there was quite a confusion in the last km , no FDJ train this time. Nice win for him , he was courageous and he surprised everyone. Nice Sprint !

Demare wins the general classification , great win for him.
Also apparently something happened with Kreder ?
