Demare definitely has a decent punch and a good engine, it's not that surprising. But as you say, it also has to do with the weaker competition here.

Demare looks like he'll be really strong for Classics in the years to come. However I'm not sure that climbing style will work on the cobbles, he does throw it from side to side a fair bit. Will be very interested if he shows up at Paris-Tours in this kind of form.

Impressive stuff by Demare, but of course you have to take into account the opposition. With a few decent hills riders at the start he might have been put under pressure a bit more.

Yannick Martinez won by starting his sprint from far , there was quite a confusion in the last km , no FDJ train this time. Nice win for him , he was courageous and he surprised everyone. Nice Sprint !

Demare wins the general classification , great win for him.
