Carapaz is the leader. 4 bonus seconds for being third plus 10 or more seconds on Dillier at the finish line.

As I said above, Dillier got 6 seconds during the stage. He should take the lead by just 1 second!

Missed that, I thought the 12 seconds advantage was already counting the 6 seconds of today's bonus.

No that was just the difference going into the stage.

Epic ride by Dillier though! Dillier winning the Tour du Sud due to epic rides in the breakaway is pretty awesome. Both Carapaz and Dillier would be great winners. Dillier should be faster on the flat if they're going to sprint for the intermediate sprints, I guess.........

Poels make an impression ?

Coverage went live with 14km to go and it was just Thomas/Henao/Ellisonde so idk. He could've done a lot of work on the previous two climbs though or he could've just been bad, it's hard to say without images. Doesn't really clear up his selection unless someone says he got dropped at the start of the tourmalet or something ...

Thanks.

Enjoyed the finish of that and Slovenia too.

Same for Thomas don't you think? Based on those final 14k I doubt he will be ready to be the second man from the TdF start.

He was at the front with 16 km to go and started to be dropped here

What I took from the stage is Henao is in better form than Thomas - Thomas barely made a dint in the time to the breakaway when on front of the peleton, while Hanao made a significant dent into the lead of the breakaway.

Chapeau Rolland and Carapaz! Impressive ride by the young Movistar man. Sky had Mascon in the break and charged at the front of the peloton. Just a try out for TdF, I suppose.

When the TV coverage came on (with 12.5km to go) the gap was 2:43. Thomas was at the front for the next 6km. At the end of his stint the gap was just under half that. He'll be fine.

Having said that, it was a shame that Henao had to babysit Kenny, since he looked in super form.

Riding at the front of the peloton for the GC with Kenny, who didn't have the legs. Moscon wasn't pulling in the break.

Agree, the G man was pretty brutal. He will be ready for the tour.

Congratulations to Dillier for taking the jersey today. He looked to be struggling to hold onto the attacks on the final climb of Stage 1, so it was unexpected that he would be such a factor today. He really took the bull by the horns today.

Kozhatayev wasn't in the initial breakaway, right?
Solid ride by him, he was a good U23 rider and apparently Nibali rates him pretty high.
