Kroon might be back for Liege. It is a shame as he looked very strong in MSR. Santaromita and Santambrogio will really need to step it up so they can provide adequate help to Greg. He sometimes has trouble getting to the gront and being near the front is quite important in Amstel.

Yes I will be serverely dissapointed if the team will affect BMCs result today. But they do have some strong riders just the lost of their two strongest riders. Anyway I will also be supporting super team leopark trek! Be damn dissapointed if anyone else wins. Dont mind gilbert but too much of a fav so prefer him for lbl.

Should be a good race. Bearing in mind nobody has been a 2 time winner of this race since the 90s makes this interesting, since most of the favourites have won this before. Out of the favourites think gilbert most likely. As an outside bet someone like nocentini maybe. Dont see sky getting involved today other than maybe in break. No favoured riders hope they surprise me though!

Lol. Thomas De Gand. I thought this was a mistake, but he really exists.
So we have a Thomas De Gendt & a Thomas De Gand in the peloton :p

How about the Eurosport live updates, huh?

175km - Damiano CUNEGO: Much like the Katusha team, Lampre are in desperate need of some positive headlines following the doping raid that police launched in their hotel recently.

Thomas Degand (Veranda's Willems Accent, Albert Timmer (Skil-Shimano), Simone Ponzi (Liquigas) and Pierpaolo De Negri (Farnese Vini) have 11'-30" over the peloton aith 100kms gone.

Gap now down to 10 mins according to the cyclingnews live coverage.

I'd like to see Cunego win today.

Just a note, dim, is the mis-spelling of Danilo di Luca's name deliberate as in not acknowledging his existence? I sometimes wish I could.

dnvgl dnvgl @dnlbenson Any thoughts on Sammy Sanchez? #AGR seems like his kind of course.

Not seen much of Luis Leon so far this season but he's in with a shout. It really depends on how Rabo play their cards and if Gesink has the legs.
Erm...seriously? Is this guy actually the head editor?
