Not a great finish by Sagan, too impatient. As soon as they passed Frerie he started to sprint, should have waited until 20-30 meters left.

it's called positioning, cunego positioned himself properly so he didn't need to pass every1 to reach the front end of the group, do you really believe nordhaug could have won after having to catch up with the guys at the front due to his poor positioning?

We'll never know but he was beside Cuengo looking as strong as him so saying he was looking much better is false.

if radio loses cancellara, it will become the biggest joke of a team around.
after BMC..

+1 ... look at the names they brought and only 1 rider in the first group. No one is in good shape at that team

Gilbert wanted to win. Respect for that.

Okay, he ended up giving a good leadout to the rest, but still it was good to see him try from the front.

sorry kid, i am not going to start with you. gilbert raced really well, but he was totally murdered (20m distance at the final) by his former indian (a great rider.. was always there last year and had a great tour), gasparotto (great heart), and sagan, who previously followed voeckler...

they murdered him. totally. he lost 20m in 2 seconds.. had nothing left..0. was humiliated.

also, if he knew he was going to be humiliated, why bring freire back?

he was worse than pozzato at that MSR. really. at least know pozzato rides like a man..

Lol, you got to be either the dumbest person alive or the biggest troll.

Gilbert started his sprint very early, that's why he lost those 2 seconds in the end ;) If he could just sit in wheels then he would've won the sprint easily. For second place: because Freire would have won without Gilbert's attack. Gilbert murdered him self. Sagan, Gasparoto and Jelle Vanendert sucked wheels.

They had 3 riders in the front group. Where was Radioshack? Where was Abandony Schleck?

How many races has your super team won again?

All peaking for the tour of course, but It would be nice actually see them race hard at the end considering how much work their domestiques did throughout the race. Does anyone know where Horner finished, I actually thought he may be close to the front but I guess he doesn't have any form.

Of course with Hushovd out they had to be dependent on Ballan. What you wanted a podium from Hincapie or Burghardt? Even GVA got himself a 4th in RVV.

It's interesting to see the difference in his shape compared to last year though. IIRC he pulled by himself the last 10km and still outsprinted everyone hands down.

To be honest, Gilbert reminded me of Boogerd today (although he would have finished second :D).

Can't compare him to last year. Even if nothing had gone wrong this year for him, he wouldn't have been close to last year.

sorry but you are wrong, he only got murdered in a tactical sense.
Maybe he wasn't 100% today, but the others left him to make the big effort and close friere, and it was a smart ride by said riders. Very debatable they would have caught friere without that effort.

Physically I dunno if he would have beaten sagan and co if he waited behind, that is kinda speculation. I doubt he would have ridden them off his wheel ala last year, but not implausible that he could have beaten them if he did.
