Ineos tactics in the final were plain stupid - You have seven riders for the final climb into a headwind - It's pointless pacing when you get cover in headwind - Commonsense is to fire a rider up the road with 5kms to go and make other teams work - If brought back then rinse and repeat until the last 1.5kms.

Great finish from Cort, Van Wilder did everything right except celebrating too early.

The way things stand, I consider Foss to be the favourite for the overall. He is a great time trialist (World Champion) and should be able to defend himself better in the Malhão climb than Ganna or Küng.

Let's be clear, not only is Cort's moustache in itself perfect, he wears it well.

Ineos has to be the most tactically incompetent team in cycling. What are they doing ? Maybe there are behind the scene financial fair play rules that meant they had to do every other teams work for a stage? Because they pull for no reason at all, just to rider for a sprint with their slow riders.

Honestly van Wilder moment wasn't the most embarrassing thing in that stage, it was ineos.
Having the muscle and not using it, doesn't allow you to draw an extra card on your next turn. They imposed their preferred rhythm on the race and deterred attacks, so Ganna is now still in the picture and will likely take yellow after the ITT. They are also the team with most riders up in the GC, which will allow them to play their cards on the road to Malhão.
