Really strong ride from Martin Tjötta. Taking full advantage of not being hindered in the crash.

Funny hearing the Omani commentators trying to say his name "Martin Teta"

Amazing work from the electric Paul double, casually and systematically drawing in the double GT winner quintana. There's levels in this game nairoman. Double then continuing his infernal pace to set up Schmidt for the win . Grande Paul. I bet visma wish they had such a good rider.

Jayco must give him support.

This is a wide open GC. I have serious doubts about Schmid getting up green Mountain, although he should still get a top 5 on GC. Schmid was one of the two Jayco riders who went on the right hand side of the peleton, so he got an uninterrupted passage to the finish. That was an excellent ride by Double!

So after that big crash, there must've been a second crash in the part that went on the right side of the roundabout cause on the next images we get from that group there's only 13 riders left there...

EDIT: there indeed seems to have been an second crash straight after, a few Lotto riders were involved among others.

If Yates isn't actually hurt he should still win this thing. Green Mountain suits him way better an today he simply lost to much energy coming back, he was still on a gap when they hit the climb and passed like 30 riders immediately, that costs a lot of energy.

It’s about to be the most cobbled together lead out of all time for Yates if Torres is hurt. He will have to go from the bottom of Green Mountain with Monalo and Oliveira sprinting the first 500m like EF on finnestre.

Why do people keep saying that? Just cause they bottled their nationals? Schmid got 2nd in Down Under and 4th in Cadel Evans. If that's bad...

Their Aussie season was fine, although they would have swapped one of their victories in Oman for Australia. On the other hand, their Alula Tour was disastrous. Checking results in OZ and the team hasn't won a stage of the TDU since 2023 which is a worry

Schmid's Aussie season was so bad that he's number 1 in the world

ok, let's say worse than previous years? and also in Alula, the sponsor's race, they didn't have a great race. I'm very happy for Schmid form, and I really do hope Matthews, Double and co get better and better
