How safe is Bogata and other parts of Colombia for average turistas?

it's saver then let's say johannesburg or detroit. it's very simple like with all big city's in the world. just know what areas to go to and which you should not visit but overall don't be afraid people are very friendly

By the way these FARC people are OK, don't misunderstand it's just as with the indians in the States for 100 years they need to grow up a little and that costs a lot of lives, but still far less then that bloody second world war WWII we had in Europe only 50 years ago, so nothing wrong with a little battle in the country ...

In the north of Colombia you have the more white people and in the south the more dark tainted people, all are best at work as you can see in the mixed Colombian cycling teams.

Race: great disappointment for Henao 30:10 es el tiempo del campeón de la Vuelta a Colombia, Sergio Henao (Orgullo Paisa), that's 2 minutes down on Infantino.

1. Rafael Infantino (EPM-UNE) 28:01,
2. Juan Pablo Suarez (EPM-UNE) a 16 seg.,
3. Ivan Parra (GW-Shimano) a 48 seg.,
4. Ivan Casas (Boyacá Orgullo de América) a 1:06,
5. Felipe Laverde (Colombia es Pasión) a 1:15,

Can't agree more your honorable and what to think about say Amsterdam, New York or London ... let me tell you this as of the intimidating Western big City standard is used to ... nothing of that at all, it's like being in HongKong you are respected at most, people are humble and a tourist is carried by hands.

WTF = Marlon Pérez marca 27:57 beating Infantino here and wins the stage ... wow what a remolte

Colombia is from let's say Turbo gate to Panama up to the Puerto Bolivar around the corner to Chavez territory crowded by those demanding Yankees not a couple of thousand no 100,000 of thousands of those Tax refugees ... and more Canadians etc. even a a lot of Dutch nicking around there and it's growing now the Socialist have been driven out and the whole country starts to look like Monaco.

I grew up in San Francisco California and I just stayed out of the bad areas.
