Nice attack from Gasparotto, Valgren did a lot of work though. I guess for Valgren is just happy to be second. Gasparotto is the better sprinter and Valgren the better TTer, played it like team mates in the end.

Colbrelli was an absolute monster in the sprint.

Great race! That's about as much as you can hope for on this course. Some favourites shelled early, everyone on the limit coming into the final climb - a couple of dangerous late attacks and an outsider taking the win.
