When the only guy who tried to cross the gap was a 38 year old Sammy Sanchez you know the future is not bright for the peleton. So so so sacred of trying something

Nice to see Gerrans helping out his teammates after all the time he's relied on them over the years to pull the peloton along and deliver him to the line.

Also, got to love how strade bianche isn't a WT race yet Amstel is with this course

Actually its sad that Wellens attacked. I'm pretty sure he would have been at least as strong as Gasparotto on the Cauberg.

Too bad Valgren didn't get the win, but nice to see him proving that he is massively talented. Not sure how well he can perform in FW, but LBL definitely suits him. Will be interesting to see him there as it is a harder race and will be ridden as such.

What is the point of leading a team if you don't attack or don't respond directly to attacks made by other leaders ?

Why this singling out of Orica? There were 20 other teams who also didn't win.
Because Orica had a ridiculously strong team and the two fastest finishers in the bunch, but messed it up, partly because of internal team politics.

It's pretty funny.

Cause they had the 2 biggest favourites and as always is riding negatively, nobody likes that apart from Aussies

Great win for Wanty :) Demoitie would be proud
Eloquent words by Gasparotto to the Rai straight after the win.
Demoitie wife was in the Hotel last night with Gasp's wife and the Wanty Team.

Thank God that Strade Bianche isn't a WT race. Has good riders and good racing with teams who all choose to be there and so provide us a great race.

Unbelivable how Sky flops yet again tho how many years its been now without a classic  ?

Actually shockingly bad considering their budget and riders
