Well played.
Looked to me SD Worx had her in check, but they all were at the limit.

Nice finale.

Brilliant timing, none of them thought she'd still be there and she timed it perfectly, the whole group did not want to chase. Moolman-Pasio apologising profusely to Vollering, saying she did everything she could, but Demi was so frustrated at the line, however she was struggling to hold over the summit, don't think SD Worx could have upped the pace to chase Marta immediately. As soon as Ash signalled for some assistance, there was nobody there to take it up, and that hesitation before Ash came back to the front opened up enough of a gap that it was decisive.

Think Vollering won the sprint for 2nd? Van Vleuten looked like she just pipped Lippert on the line but not sure.

Ah, here's the overhead... no, Liane held 3rd.

Excellent news for me in the prediction game since Niewiadoma is only one place back from Annemiek and they aren't on the podium :p

Graphics still have Labecki as Rivera.

With the impressive result she's already had, it's deserving that she finally gets a major win.

So... who had Cavalli in the prediction game?

I nerly picked Cavalli and Lippert as my outside duo, but ended up with 0 points instead.

I was very tempted by Lippert, but with a deficit I felt I had to play safe. And Demi owed me one after RVV.

It's honestly a bit sad they don't use the same finale as the men

What do you mean? The men's race became infinitely better when they finally removed the Cauberg from the finish.

Maybe the wording in your post was a little off, and you would like the women to also have a Cauberg-free finale.

I just fail at English. I meant I wish they used the same final ~50km as the men

I feel that the women's race should actually move the finish back to the top of the Cauberg.

The fact most of my favourite riders are high level puncheuses who are absolutely hopeless in a sprint and keep giving away potential victories between the top of the Cauberg and the finishing line has totally got nothing to do with this of course.

I'd just like the women's classics to be above 150 km, maybe even 200 km.

The classics are about endurance. And it's not like the women can't handle the distance.

I prefer the women's finish / previous men's finish

What the current men's finish has shown is just how dumb everyone was in waiting for the Cauberg
