Unfortunately, not even Rai Sport 2 can be bothered to cover this event.
A bummer, given how Rai contributed to getting Sardinia cancelled.

This race has gotten 1 stage shorter every year for the last few years... does anyone know if this is due to budgetary problems? This is usually the case...

and yeah, Sardegna isn't happening, but Classica Sarda is still on a few websites, like CQ... of course CQ had Calabria starting yesterday, so who knows.

I have Chavez and Moser for my CQ team but they shall have to work for Duarte/ Viviani ( who i think will win stage 1 and 2 respectively ).

Viviani has more km and a little edge speed-wise. But I'll actually go with Modolo. No coverage really?:(

If these are the correct ones, it would appear we are in for countless miles of wasted road where the peloton will zoom past any spectators along the road. No wonder these types of races are reduced in number of stages.

Not only reduced, they are dying a slow death. The GS Emilia boss spoke about this in an interview last year. He said that all of his races will be gone in the next two or three years due to UCI's global plans and the lack of sponsorship.

Don't think its a bad thing to get some of these races removed from the calendar, if we can get something better in return. Perhaps places such a Italy needs to look into reducing the number of races and instead make whats left better with superior TV and ticker coverge. Sponsors simply doesn't get anything out of a race like the one we have today. Its almost like a club race.

breakaway Parrinello (Androni Venezuela), Andriato (Farnese Selle Italia), Laengen (Team Type 1), Maggiore (Utensilnord Named) e Palini (Team Idea) have 2 minutes lead with liquigas and colnago leading the chase behind.

Man, if they wanted people to care about this race, they should kept that hilly stage. Nobody cares about a random small 2 sprinter stages italian race. At least with the profile first posted in this thread, it seemed as though stage 1 would be intresting.
