Beautiful work by Koch, she made it as hard as she could for Vos, it seemed like she had no chance from that, but she did play the card of forcing Vos to the outside line, I didn't think it would be enough - genuinely amazed she had enough in the sprint to hold Marianne back. Chapeau Franzi.

I am not surprised Koch could win that, since Vos isn't as fast as she once was, but I did think her own attacks might have taken too much out of her.

Great to see Jastrab back to her best. Sadly Georgi couldn't make it an even better day for the Picnic development system. On that note, Kool also keeps delivering this Spring.

Honestly probably one of the best if not the best tactical awareness from Koch in the velodrome at PR from any rider (both genders) I have ever seen, especially given the 2v1. Got into a high position in order not to get blocked, baited PFP into throwing in that attack at the first crossing of the line which kept the pace high and then accelerated at the exact perfect time to not get jumped but keep the inner line while having enouh to sprint for the line.
Brilliant win.

Visma should have played the 1-2 punches in the last 10 km but obviously were confident in Vos's sprint.

which I think in a normal road finish sprint, she would have won, but I mentioned this in the mens race, the Roubaix sprint is very different to what they normally deal with at the end of a race, it does end up becoming alot more about track sprint tactics, than pure sprinting abilities.

now fair enough Vos is no stranger to the velodrome either, in fact Ive seen her win lots of sprints in the velodrome,

but you can be beaten no matter how good you are if the rider you face off against basically uses the track & positioning on the track to their advantage, and it usually means if theyve taken that advantage, youre at a double disadvantage because you cant occupy the same bit of space.

Its not like on a road where it doesnt really matter which side of the finish you are as long as you lay down the watts you win, here its you need to be closest to the sprinter line, if your rival has forced you up the track away from it, you have to lay down even more watts to get past them.
