At least they are running a fairly slow schedule, so it won't be finishing at 3-45pmCET, as it has in the past.
Saxo and the Lepers doing the chasing, as Eurosport arrive, as I predicted, half an hour late.

ah, the joys of danish delight. :D Takes a little while to connect initially, but once its going its pretty much solid and uninterrupted.

Eurosport finally gone live.
It's certainly the best quality stream out there, but they speak so funny.

He was sixth last year. This year no Cuddles, so top 5 is certainly possible. Winning is pretty much impossible here for him though.

Perhaps if he'll ever win Luik a few times he'll try to anticipate in FW before the final ascend of the Mur and break the spell that's been going on since 2004 in FW. But can't see that happen now.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Gilbert outkick them all at the top especially if the Spaniards take each other on. Climb is harder than ideal but his form is outstanding. If Rebellin can win here regularly then I don't see why Gilbert can be excluded

I watched The Simpsons in Danish with English subtitles the other day.. quite a surreal experience.

Lol, Gilbert didn't even know what favorites were racing in FW today.

And Contador said in an interview that he thinks Gilbert can win FW. Doubt it, but it's going to be interesting to see if he's made any progress on these kind of climbs.

Yawn...

Typical Fleche. At least last year there was some fun to be had before the final ascent of the Mur.

Reminds me of a tour sprint stage...only the final sprint is up a hill...

I have no idea why I used to prefer the Ardennes classics over the cobbled ones.

I thought some teams (HTC, BMC) were going to make the race brutal...not wait for the Mur...what happened?

What the hell do you expect? Contador, Frank, Andy and Gilbert to attack 50 km before the finish line?

The first time I've seen Vantomme and as the Eurosport commentators are are saying similar to to Ignatiev, maybe a bit smaller but very stylish.

Honestly? Yes, I'd expect the likes of Fränk Schleck to make early moves.

edit: not "expect" as in "believe it'll happen", more like "believe it's what they should do"
