The conditions are definitely worse now, if Dennis lost 30 seconds to Cavagna, who lost more than 10 seconds to Bissegger and Amador in the second half.

But Cort only lost 16 seconds to Cavagna from the intermediate split, so Dennis has probably not paced himself very well either.

Did a headwind pick up when he was on peak form in the 59 km ITT in 2015 Giro? I recall he finished third.
