If he want to note progression he has to pull always to see progression. Maybe he has another ways to see his progression. But the rest of the race it will rain except tomorrow and it will be hard to see his best, so...

I don't think those six minutes will have much influence on which level he will end up reaching. Not that I think it will ever come close to his former level, but better than finishing 50-100th in a WT race could be possible.

Technically, the quicker you go, the quicker you'll get it over with.

Yeah, but this is all a part of his master plan to be the most well-rested rider in some race at some point in the future, so we won't see him at the front before that :p

I think the climb is just really hard, since neither Küng nor Ganna showed their best, while Herrada did.
I don't think it's about the climb. Ganna for example is only 11th at the first check and actually he gained time on a lot of riders on the climb.
