Vicente de Mateos and Asbjorn Kragh were the culprits.
They both got kicked out of the race.

Apparently, De Mateos crashed into the other guy when he was heading back to the bus after the sprint.Arredondo said:Ah thx. Well at least they hit each other properly. Not a copy of the utterly epic fail fight between Arrieta and Sierra in La Vuelta 1995
Edit: they actually finish 3rd and 4rd i see. I better watch that sprint![]()

But yeah, the Volta is awesome, we got a proper fist fight! What other race in the world does that?! Not many![]()
BigMac said:I don't like this sort of zero tolerance decisions. Furthermore, if anything, the only guy who should have been banned was Cristina Watches' rider, the other was merely defending himself from physical attack. Makes me remember when Barredo came out of nowhere to attack Costa with his front wheel and eventually ended up on the floor - back then many were advocating for the expulsion of both riders. Later that same day Barredo went to Caisse d'Epargne's teambus to ask for sorry and they both were okay again.

Yeah it's a long climb but it's also the easiest one to Torre and well suited to Sanchez's climbing style. If they don't get rid of him right after Sabugueiro I can see him hanging on loosing perhaps a couple of seconds. Maybe the ramps close to Lagoa Comprida can do the trick as well... Anyway, if a spanish wins I prefer LLS to Veloso everyday.Parrulo said:I wonder how will Lulu do. I reckon the climb is too long for him but you never know.
Hopefully Pinto recovered from his crashes and wins this. Unfortunately i don't think he can gain time on Veloso and that sucks![]()

He did reconnaissance of the TT yesterday instead of today's MTF, so I guess that's the stage he's going for.BigMac said:Surprising and not so surprising at the same time. Should go for stage hunting now. A winning move in Lisbon would be nice.
