i know that the final climb (28,4 km@5,1%) was done in 1:07:08 by grande nuno ribeiro back in 2009. now that it's a long one helluva effort
if any of you have rtp live and a stopwatch you could give it a try :p (timing from a live internet stream is not reliable and on recordings there might be edited out the ads)

one of the greatest starts of a climb i know:

Great job from Boavista: three guys sitting on a group with 2.30 minutes yet they do nothing and let the gap down to less than 1 minute. Sometimes I wonder if this DS knows anything about cycling. If they don't want to work just go back to the peloton to help Rui Sousa instead of being annoying trolls.

It's frustrating.

I will try to give it a try

Should i time the favourites or the breakaway?

the favourites if you can. it shouldn't be necessary that start(maybe it won't be even filmed) but a place near which you can remember. later i will compare to what i timed on live stream or from recording.

veloso did last year around 40 sec slower than nuno. normally should be a great race here but i know that a possible headwind might change it

Ad break while the climb is about to start. Going to be difficult to get a proper/accurate time.

Lol @ César Fonte. Not even Marco Chagas can give a decent reason for this. Carlos Pereira will retire but the "stupid/lame/troll tactics mantle" will have a worthy inheritor in José Santos...

Ayeh, Sousa and Fonte himself must have brung the Efapel Tactical Book with them.
