I genuinly do not get why Politt isn't riding. They have Van Poppel in the group and Politt is someone who could actually close down some seconds. Now it's probably over tho.

in Wallonie last year he was in the early break as well, was caught, attacked again, won solo.

Same as today? The Volta victory was a a bit of a crazy one as well, as far as I can remember

Yeah he's super underrated. His Wallonie win was something else.

Also finished 2nd in the national ITT, so he is a solid rider. Probably just never had many own chances and mainly been in a domestic role .

Think that those sprinters always wants(/needs) a guide, in stead of working and have no one left in the final. Don't know why but it's almost like this everytime.

Yeah similar I think but definitely a massive step up looking at the relative startlists, gap has been static for ages and the Jumbo group has been working moderately well.

Only made the step up to Movistar last year from Caja Rural.

Second season now with Movistar. Really good development.

I mean sure if this was a 40 man group, but it's 20. And Van Poppel... He can find his own way. Group literally would've catched them if Trek, Bora, UAE and Jayco immediately started helping Lotto in the beginning, now they won't.
