Was some nice TV racing but I'm not sure it was that good from a tactical standpoint. It was good by a few teams but Levi going was a bad move imo.
For sure it reduced the bunch to a few contenders for the stage win. Not many sprinters left (apart from Hagen that is). That last ramp before the finish will be interesting.

In retrospect yes

1) He didn't gain anything
2) He used a cartouche
3) it seems that he is nervous/not confident enough to take it in the TT alone or to defend it in the mountains

as you said before, perhaps a waste of energy...

I wonder if davis, Pozatto and gilbert are still there otherwise EBH might win his second. Or sioutsou, Who will try to chase him down without any sprinters... Good tactics by Columbia, and splendid move by Siou!

Or maybe their legs felt good? :p (In response to #3)

Yep been thinking about that too, but with the TT coming up, I don't know if he should have done that. On the other hand, if you see an opportunity to gain time, go for it.

Latest update on Horillo

1 broken leg
1 broken elbow
1 perforated lung

he fell down a 60m ravine

That sounds awful. End of the season for him.
I guess that's better than end of career or worse.

Pozzatto still there. My pick, hm?

Think Sioutsou will win it... 30s and counting. He is strong, especially in these last kms, doing his TT thing.

and the peloton isn;t getting organised. Who will chase him? The only one who could, is COL, but hey, iy's their team mate

I would think Lampre would be trying to pull him back if Cunego was feeling strong. Almost 40 seconds now, you might be right.
Di Luca might go for some bonus seconds.
