Sorry Michele it has to be Finish in his home town so Ballan will be extra motivated to snitch for the finish ...

I will change it if that´s ok with you ... thanks for the help.

I,m in Venice and I have my bike. So the plan is Venice - Treviso - San Pietro di Feletto - Valdobbiadean - Montebelluna, see the race go by somewhere. Back to Venice.
Cool

Ooooh a thread.
I saw it on tv.
What a chaotic finish in appalling conditions.
Pete Sagan gifts Daniel Oss the win, as the 2 Liquigas boys are the only ones to make it through the penultimate bend.

Torrential rain on Italian shopping pave, is not a great combo.
Fischer, I think came down and a pile up ensued. Riders even ended up in shop doorways!

The rest trailed home in dribs and drabs and a De Rosa guy even managed to crash, after the finish.

Prosecco ride really nice. Had a look the first two laps in Montebelluna three came through first on the first lap after I couldn’t figure out what was going on. The peloton fly’s past like an express train. Continued on down to Castelfranco to see the finish, they came through and I think Balan was on the front with another rider. But it was getting dark and a few spots of rain were beginning to fall, then it started to really pour down. They all ended up right in front of me as I was just past the finish but the rain just hammered down.
45 k back to Venise first 5 k in the heavy rain then light rain back to Mestre with a heavy shower on the bridge to end the day.
180 k round trip that’s less than the pros did but then I’m over 50 and still pedalling.

Thanks for the video. So definitely this doesn't sound too accurate:
CyclingNews said:
Oss attacked on a cobbled corner 1.5km from the finish and only Sagan was able to go with him, as the rest of the peloton struggled under the pouring rain. The duo's lead was minimal but they stayed together and stayed clear, with Oss taking victory ahead of Sagan.

It was realy bad, the rain had just started so all the diesel and oil was coming up. The team cars were sliding around. One rider went down after the finish line.

Good video.

Suprised the camera was still working as it was only coverd by a cheap plastic tarp. (The woven ones with blue on one side green on the other.)

 Was still figuring out, what was the good reason for Petter, to hand victory to Oss.

Well it is Daniel Oss his first as a Pro, that sounds reasonable.
