Masnada looks strong. Good news for the team they will need at the Vuelta. Even if he comes up short today, he's doing better than we could have expected.
He didn't do any difficult training between 25th March and 14th May, only 2 weeks of base training after the end of April. So he is here only on 3 or 4 weeks proper training.

So I agree that he is already performing well regardless of the result today.


He said he couldn't even walk for 40 minutes in the morning when he had mononucleosis. The team doctors spoke with him every day to keep him motivated.

I hope he Quickstep understands his strength and takes him as a card to play in the Vuelta. Remco can lead as well but there can be more than one option.

Fausto in his best form is untouchable for the other riders in the break. Just a case today of how his level is, he is not at his peak

Is the audio of the SRF2 coverage for anyone else also a mess? I can constantly hear shouting and noises in the background and the sound from the helicopters/motors is also way over the top. Quite annoying to watch.
