Was thinking this was more a finish for the faster uphill finishers rather than GC guys going full out. Some big names dropped here

Why would he have less of a chance on this route compared to the one he won on?

He won the stage and the race on this climb:

Against Ion, Dombro, and the likes? I think this field look more challenging.

Birdsong looks really strong.

Lead group might chill out a bit now and let groups back it seems

I was really expecting that finish to be Matthews, Hirschi, Pidcock, Cosnefroy etc sprinting it out rather than GC guys going fully at it on day 1.
