Back to the forum after holidays, guys…

Gall‘s performance was somehow unbelievable… Why did they allow him to gain 1.5 minutes (and more than one minute at finish)? Or was he that strong that no one was able to lose less than one minute?

I agree very much with Tim Cahill: how can Skjelmose here lose the jersey intentionally?

Do the others still underestimate Gall?

No signs that Gall will decrease here in the next days. He‘s now clearly a candidate for the GC final victory.

I wish him he wins the GC here. And hope he won‘t be dethroned like Frank was by Costa, circa 2013.

Good luck to Gall for TdS and TdF. He and O‘Connor will rock the next six weeks!… :) Very nice…

We'll see tomorrow if it was smart to take an "easy" day.

There is no doubt he has to put more time into Remco, to have a shot at the overall, and tomorrow is the day to do it, with steep gradients above 2.000 meters on the final mountain and a fast and technical descent to the line.

I'd say he needs at least 35 seconds for the ITT to have a chance (21 seconds more) - If Remco was in peak condition he would need 45 seconds, but he is not.

The last climb should favor Remco. It is a gradual climb with the >8% stuff far from the summit. Has a 6.8% average gradient

Remco struggled on the steep stuff the past 2 days. However, once the climb shallowed today, he was fine

He seems to be on 2022 Pais Vaso form at the moment. Except this race has far more TT

So I stumbled upon Storer in the Result list and had a look at his results since his Vuelta stage wins, and well, that's very underwhelming.

What happened to him the last years?
Storer was a decent domestique for Gaudu in the Tour last year, and he seems to be in better shape now than earlier in the season, so he I expect him to be a solid helper this year as well.

Yesterday Skjelmose said Gall had the best legs, so decided to follow him (then won). Today Gall, who hasn't won a single race as a pro (albeit has had some solid performances so far this season), surged ahead to win by over a minute. It's not that he won, but by such a gap, and it was up to like 1:25 at one point, that's truly sensational.

What a way for Gall to get his first pro win!

Remco rode smarter than yesterday but he is still in the fight for the overall unlike Ayuso who was a bit disappointing.

Uijtdebroeks very consistent once again, good to see.

Remco is obviously pacing himself and building a monster peak for the tour.
Truly.

5% gain from well-timed altitude camps is for snowflakes.

And just think of the experience to be gained as he surely crushes Vingo and Pog, dropping him off his wheel without even accelerating. Or being able to.
