Remember everyone is in top notch for TDF. wrong approach but if Cav is this bad you can expect that he will be better for TDF

If tour had finishes like this cav still wouldn't get up there

Was just having one last look at the up coming stages.
In an excited state!! Already knew how epic it was, but re-reading and analyzing the profiles.. Can't wait!

I think Stage 11 is gonna be pretty fun. Scarponi!

Stage 13 to 15 is what the Giro is about tho. Epic stuff !

Stage 13
Not an overly difficult build up to the Grossglockner. But still a few categorized climbs. And a promising finish.
8.5 km @ roughly 9%.
Followed by 2km descent, and then another 5km @ 5-6%
The last Km about 7% with some sections exceeding 10%
Not sure how this will pan out. But with stage 14 and 15 in mind, it might not be too chaotic. I'm hoping for the best tho.

Stage 14
Zoncolan. Surely the queen stage!
Again a decent run into the finale. But man.. the last 50km woooo!
Monte Crostis... From Ovaro it is almost 20km to the top. With an average nearing 8%. However the last 10km (from Tualis) averages @ 11%. Epic stuff. And then at the top about 8km of strade. Followed by the difficult Crostis descend... and at the end were rewarded with Zoncolan. 10km averaging @ 12%, with sections @ 20%. Insane. Massive gaps here.
Hopefully an incident free, epic stage !

Stage 15
Another amazing stage, day before the rest day, will be interesting to see how the riders handle this long difficult stage. Leading into the Passo Gau the riders will already have climbed a lot today (over 30km in fact, with some steep sections, including a Cat. 1 climb). The Passo Gau will be 10km @ roughly 7%, the riders now descend again before hitting the Passo Fedaia, which is about 10km @ roughly 8%. Once they hit the top here they descend 20-25 km before tackling the final climb of the day; which @ 10-11% over 6km (the final 3 of which nearing almost 12%, and a final km of 13-14%) should be decisive for this year's Giro, especially considering the previous two days of racing, the length of this stage and amount of climbing within the day.. Again.. Epic !

---

I'm freaking buzzing :D :D

and still some entertaining stages await in the last week :) Not as hard, but the fatigue should be kicking in. If AC leads here, he will have to be attentive, even on the 'easier stages' like 17 and 18.

after contador's takeover on sunday, I'd gone a little flat at the prospect of the remainder of the Giro, but damn! if this hasn't just fanned the flames to pick up the spirits for this GT. :)

Stage 14 is simply the most amazing profile i have ever seen. '

The first 5 k of Crostsis arent really going to do much imo. A bit of a false flat and then the gradient hits uphill. You are right though, its those final 10.2km that the climb really starts and like you said, that is one amazing.

But before that its 140km of up and down. And Strade Bianchi + zoncolan. Well, what can you say.

This is the first time theyve ever used the Crostsis though right? Or have they used it before?
