Voeckler FTW!

just thought I'd "throw that out there".

Please no. I am already afraid I will have to watch him ride (to describe his style as "riding" is generous. As I have said before, it looks like he is screwing a rabbit) in a break all day would really detract from the enjoyment I get from watching races. I appreciate the guy's spirit, but he should be brought up on rape charges for what he does to a bike.

I'm rooting for him. Any rider who says they want it raining and nasty gets my support. Tomeke Tomeke Tomeke!!!

Cancellara is definitely the strongest athlete, but this doesn't make him unbeatable. There will be attacks between kilometer 50 and 20 before the finish, with outsiders like Chavanel (team of Boonen). Remember the early attacks of Devolder. It will be very hard for Cancellara's team to control that part of the race.

If he reaches the foot of the Muur with the first group, then he will probably leave everyone behind. But if he doesn't it will be very hard. Tactics and luck can also play a big role.

I can't resist making a list of favorites, although I'm always wrong.

*****Cancellara
****Boonen
***Gilbert, Ballan, Haussler
**Flecha, Hushovd, Pozzato, Devolder
*Langeveld, Ivanov, Nuyens, Chavanel

Here's hope for Devolder, Gilbert, Boonen,Chavanel to give Cancellara a shoeing and one of them to take the win and a Geraint top 10 please :)

Gilbert lives in Monaco and he doesn't find it cold. No, 13 degrees is not cold, it's pretty warm actually. Boonen is pretty good in the rain anyway.

he does well but he really dislikes it. He is worse in rain than in sun though

Not many pros actually like the rain. Flecha probably does, he's crazy like that.

In press conference, Canc said he sees bad weather as an advantage, because it makes the race tougher.

Haha, that's great, Hitch. Also, props to Dim for the new avatar.

I love the classics.

Really? I'd rather see people winning because they are the strongest then people winning who suck wheels for the entire day and then walk away with the win. Specially during classics.

I sure hope it will be more tense than last year.

Ditto

The Wheel (suckers) can go top 10, Fabian is probably unstoppable though.

Sky look to a have a decent squad and maybe could try something, hopefully race hard and not turn into Garmin and just trying to hang on.
They need to get further up and avoid crashes. (stating the obvious I know) Sky tend to fail en mass and that needs to change despite having strong riders.

It does have an ignore feature. Go to the user profile and check the "user lists" drop down menu.

Wow that is buried deep. Thanks, ingsve, you are a life saver.

So long, El Pistolero! I won't miss you.

Anticipation is killing me. I'll need some serious entertainment tonight, cause all I want right now is to see Tommeke taming the ****ing Koppenberg and so on.

Damn I hate the day before De Ronde, almost as much as the first of April. Tomorrow will be intense. The relief will be immense when Sporza starts their transmission at 9, don't matter what they'll show. And then building up the tension to an absolute climax during the race (or an anticlimax for that matter, but let's hope not).
