****in' Eurosport. Who the hell watches WTCC anyway?

I mean seriously, they are only showing the post-race rubbish now. If they refused to cut from the live event I could actually understand...

can someone roughly translate what Gesink said at the start?

Ben Hermans is quite easy to understand, but I've got my problems with Gesink
He always is more nervous at AGR, but still a very important race.
Rabo hopes to keep the group together for Freire and Martens.
To beat Gilbert Kathusha and Leopard have to make the race very hard.

Ohhh... Van Avermaet is on maneuvers.

What do you mean (I'm not watching coverage yet)?

Hopefully the australians can get a good result today. For those who don't know, during the finale of the race, it will be monday in Australia which is ANZAC day. This is Australia's main war memorial day which is a day of commemoration and celebration. Some of the battles which took place in the world wars are not far from where the race is today so it would be nice if an australian was up the front in Liege.

okay, thanks

interesting in regard that they are in attack with Ten Dam and Garate at the moment while Leopard and Katusha sit back

Yet for cycling they rarely even bother waiting around for the podiums.

He's in a group of about 10 off the front of the peloton.

Ah, Spa-Francorchamps. There's a REAL motor racing venue. The WTCC that was overrunning is at Zolder, which isn't much good and killed Gilles Villeneuve.

Good for 'cross, though.

Currently Van Avermaet is in a small break with Garate, ten Dam, Pineau, Sivtsov and a few others, who have 45 secs on the peloton. And are about 40 secs behind the leaders.

EDIT: Not van Avermaet at all. Dutch commentators lied to me. Its Mathias Frank
