As someone who has just been the victim of one of these frenzies, it's not very satisfactory. He's been banned for something he apparently said before he got the CarbonCrank account last June. No wonder TTF can't remember. That's eight months ago.

Why on earth has this suddenly been brought up now?

I'm not defending what he said presumably in a bit of a rage (though the archives show similar abuse from one of the people that claim to be the victims) but he then had a new account, and debated many other matters, for at least eight months after that.

It just looks like it's being dig up as a pretext, don't you think?

Why don't you address the issue. Why has this guy just been banned for something he said at least eight months ago? Why is this being brought up now? The archives show that TFF insults people all the time, yet he does not get banned. Indeed, people who reject insults from him and others are called trolls who are "playing the victim" and are banned for this.

It turns out you are very happy to play the victim when it suits you.

Personally I don't think anybody launching that kind of threats have anything to do on this forum. It's just sick and pathetic.
you're right about one thing though, It's very hard to understand why it took 8 months before he was thrown back to where he belonges.

I did not say I researched jackhammers posts. On another thread I was told that a troll has been pestering the board for months with terrible abuse, so I checked it out. All I found was a lot of abuse from TFF, BroDeal and others, and people disrupting threads to stop a counter argument.

Now this other guy gets banned for something he apparently said at least eight months ago, and has had no problems under his new account.

You can see the problem. It looks like a bunch of hypocrites are using anything they can to ban people they disagree with.

Isn't that wrong?

So you think if users said they were going to hunt you down a "bum rape" you, or make repeated claims that you suffered from an terminal illness, or have called people "****s", this would require a banning?

It just seems wrong to have rule for this guy, and another rule for others.

I took a bit from these guys on the LA thread. Luckily Susan the mod stepped in and told them off. It's given me an insight into how some of the people here operate.

Sorry, I did not know about this. On the forums I have been on you don't usually think "I must check the archives to see if there has been a problem with troll". But now that you've mentioned it, I shall go back to check to see the months of threads where this "Great White/Max Power etc" person repeatedly trolled the site.
