I think they just vetoed everything until he gave up and went for a 'to hell with it, I'll just make it plain' approach. Cipo doesn't understand the word restraint.

I was going to say that I don't see why Castelli would get him new shorts for 2 races, but George Hincapie got a full outfit as US champ last year for 1 race.

I personally think they should keep it even more simple: leave it as it is with the only addition being the Garmin name. Adding argyles only distracts from the WC stripes and lessens their impact.

Edit: Oops posted before reading the posts indicating that the argyles aren't legal anyway. Just as well and luckily their reasoning is sound.

I would sometimes mistake Garmin riders with riders from Bbox or Xacobeo Galicia riders. Now I'm probably going to confuse them with Sky riders
