Last year Cees Bol and Jonathan Milan managed to finish in the +0:28 group at the stage up Harrat Uwayrid, could Wærenskjold manage something similar if he's in the leaders jersey before that stage?
Not that it's really likely he can fight for the win here, it's also hard to know how hard the finish on stage 4 is, but it looks like something Wærenskjold could do well at.

They weigh 83 kg and 84 kg respectively. Wärenskjold weighs 92 kg so there is a lot more body to drag up that 12% climb.

He said in the interview after the win that they will be riding for Anders Halland Johannessen on that stage.

I don't trust this figure. Just because it's on the internet doesn't make it true. I know he's tall but his upper body is still pretty lean. I would guesstimate 87kg, and that's if the 195cm height is correct. I've also seen 191cm height quoted in which case I would say he's about 80kg or less.
Fair point. Then again, what's to say that the weights of the other two riders is correct also. Point is still that he is bigger and likely heavier than them so will likely always have trouble.

Hehe, interesting sport. An actual animal racing sport where there isn't a jockey or driver taking the credit.

(Greyhound racing would have been too obvious)

It often feels like the numbers on the internet is guesswork, but just Wærenskjold has been talking openly in media about his size. For example at the pre tour altitude camp last year he said in an interview with TV2 that he was 92-93 kilos with a plan of losing 2-3 kilos before the start of the Tour a month later. I don’t know if he made it down to or below 90 before the Tour started. He also says himself in the same interview that he is 1,95. So in the case of Wærenskjold I would trust the numbers as they are coming from him directly.

Now that they said that out loud AHJ definitively gonna crash out or something. That guy is one of the most unlucky athletes around.
I honestly don't really think it makes sense to stake everything on AHJ in a race like this, so I guess plans may still change for Waerenskjold, depending on his gc position.

AHJ is the better climber, of course, but going by the past couple of years, only the very best can get enough of a gap on this climb. And if you're in G2 and can't sprint, that means sth like 15th in gc in the end.
