Do you, by chance, know a way to avoid it? The last 10 kms of the Ventoux are a desert, but I'm thinking Contador might be ****ed for the rest of the race.

Contador never have had any pollen problems in July (I have never had any cyclist in my life about), I doubt even any time...in Dauphiné was at 75 %, or it was the pollen?

If Contador is a rider with pollen problems from March (C.I) to July, his succesful career would be impossible.

He feels confident, at 90 %, strong, willing attack and even take risk, without pressure,... he hasnt said any word to be worried about pollen.

I would be worried just for one thing: When he is with excuses before a race, feeling not so good, he always has destroyed his rivals... when he say he is very strong and confident, he use to fail.

Let's hope this time would be different.

Well, he has failed just a few times after his first TdF, but i.e. I mean he was more confident this year in Pais vasco than once in Algarve.

Those are not new helmts. . .

Its the aero road helmet many specialized riders have been using for months now. It will only be used on flat road stages. On mountain stages they will still use the normal helmet and same for the ITT.

Also inb4 "but he is using while riding an itt bike", pros only ever wear itt helmets during race. they train using their normal helmets.

and they look like tt helmets to me. Also because Alberto's checking out his tt bike and on other pics he's wearing a normal helmet.

Nothing about the pollen, is there? He was very happy with how he performed during the Dauphine and he is now at the level of where he wants to be. He spoke highly of Richie Porte and said that Ritchie must be watched carefully in the mountain and during time trial.

The paint job is new, the helmet isn't.

And its not a tt helmet.
