He just said in a post-stage interview that he thinks the final climb tomorrow suits Nibali (and Valverde) better.

Standard thing to say. It's not like he's gonna say, I like that climb, I gonna drop them like it's nothing. He's said similar things before actually attacking like a madman

We´are entering the strategy of downplaying things, mate. While i am in serious doubt Alberto will try anything tomorrow he might just hoping to provoke things from Nibali as in a wearing-down process. Or it is just a smokescreen around himself to go bananas. Remember that he said it all will go down in the Pyrenees.

I am actually surprised he hasnt said Nibali is the favourite yet. :D

Happy that AC finished the stage safely in the lead group.

rogers adn roche looked good today. Majka is still riding in the back.

tomorrow is going to be interesting

I'm a bit dubious about Rogers. Maybe he's been told to take things fairly easy in these stages with just short steep climbs because Contador doesn't really have a use for more than one guy on them (Roche).

Majka meanwhile looks like he's trying to prove that they should have brought Zaugg.

Roche looks very good so far. I think he was even one of Contador's last two men on the cobbles before he crashed in a ditch. The question with him though is if his form can last into the third week.

Roche is in very good form ...He has been running up and down the line like a mad man...The thing is he is not pure climber ...never has been

I think they should use him as I suggested before this race began as someone for Berite to bridge to in a break ...Of course for that to happen he would have to be in the break and it would have to be the day Bertie can drop the others as in TA.....A move like that could take back all the time lost to Nibali but it has to be on the right stage

Bjarne brought Majka and has rested him for the final week ....that is in case Rodgers & Roche fade.
Contador doesn't need a train IMO ...what he needs are riders to stay with him until he attacks or to be ahead of him to bridge to

Maxmartin is right. Contador was deathly afraid of TJVG nipping him for a top 10 overall finish, so he had the team go full gas when TJVG crashed.

I am sure TJVG will revenge!!! So sad to see him down, but that is another tailwind blowing towards Nibali.

its not nice to talk abt TCS using TJVG's fall. this incident happened in the last 15 km.

the race was on.

if it was 15 km before, i am pretty sure the guys wudnt have gone that hard.

TJVG had bad luck falling at the wrong moment, courtesy a movistar rider

I'm pretty sure it was someone from Tinkoff that caused the crash so Contador could move up on GC. Amirite, maxmartin? :p

The Movistar rider had got nothing to do with it.

the rider behind TJ touched his rear wheel.

coming to tomorrow's stage, wht do u guys think of the strategies?

one part of me says that the two cat 2 climbs will be done hard, making a selection of 30-35 riders, and a final uphill sprint like LBL

Team Tinkoff and AC seems obsessed with not having any chrashes this year (hence the teams consistently presence in front at the last part of the stages this year).
And I don't blame them at all -AC lost time early last year because of a unnecessary crash..
So when someone crashes they move to the front to prevent beeing a victim of nervous riding from others as result of chrashes seems to often accumulate to more crashes...

all I am saying timing is suspicious, it is not like they are pushing the pace all along, they just started pushing pace immediately after TJVG crashed

it is also possible but the victim is AC's major opponent, and getting rid of TJVG in such a way is not applaudable in my book. Guss you have to be ruthless to win the Tour. Haha

Easy now :)
If he really believes this, then it's not trolling...

And if he's trolling it's a poor effort.. So no worries ;)

At least stop trolling then.

I guess you are so enchanted to tell the difference between black and white. But then you are the one who pick the Nibali to win the Tour. LOL And the hard stone fact is before the crash TJVG and AC are close on GC. And please stop using ancient historical data to back up your bull**** theory. Keep in mind, we are talking about this Tour.

Tomorrow if i'm him i will attack on penultimate climb , on 14% sector . So he could gain about 20-30s , because if he attack on last climb i think he could only take about 10s

Nah, Porte will attack in the final climb, only Nibali can follow. And AC will be only a few seconds behind.
